UKON Reports Significant Yearly Price Increases in Beef and Lamb Across Turkey
The National Red Meat Council (UKON) reported that as of February 26, 2026, the average price of beef chuck without fat in Turkey reached 601.86 TL/kg, while lamb chuck without fat averaged 573.27 TL/kg. Compared to the previous month, beef prices rose by 3.8% and lamb prices by 1.1%. Year-over-year, beef prices surged by 46%, and lamb prices increased by 19.2%. These cash prices exclude 2% VAT and reflect regional averages, with actual prices varying based on payment and slaughter conditions.
